FERC Approves NERC’s 2027 Business Plan and Budget

At its October meeting, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) approved the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) filing which includes 2027 business plans and budget. This covers each regional entity, and the Western Interconnection Regional Advisory Body (WIRAB).

The six regional entities include the Midwest, Northeast, Texas, and the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC).

In the filing, the NERC 2027 business plan and budget includes a few of the following programs: Reliability Standards, Reliability Assessments, Performance Analysis, and Data Analytics, Engineering, and Power Risk Issues and Strategic Management (PRISM).
